6 Ways to Boost Your Business's Success in The Next Quarter

Growing your business is something that can take time and no matter how well your business and processes are performing, there is always room for improvement.

Whether it be implementing new strategies or improving upon those that are already in place, there are a multitude of things you can do to promote your business's growth.

Some practices will show results relatively quickly while others will be part of a long term growth approach. It's important to note that both serve their respective purpose and hold a place in the business world.

However, this post will be focused on more of the short term strategies and what you can do to start promoting your business's growth and see results in the upcoming quarter.

Here are 6 ways to boost your business's success in the next quarter:

1. Run a Pay-Per-Click Advertising Campaign

When done right, pay-per-click advertising can provide a substantial boost to your business and a sizable return-on-investment (ROI).

If you haven't already, setup a Google Adwords account. After doing so, you will be able to create, run, and manage pay-per-click ad campaigns.

The reason these PPC ad campaigns can provide such great ROI, is because you only pay when someone clicks your ad in the results of a given search query.

As opposed to some other advertising methods, you aren't paying just to simply get in front of people but rather for people to engage with your ad and potentially convert.

By combining your pay-per-click ads with high performing landing pages, you can see a substantial increase in lead and customer acquisition in the upcoming quarter.

2. Create an Email Outreach Campaign

Although some people may think email is an outdated approach, there are roughly 3.7 billion email users with an estimated 269 billion emails being sent daily in 2017 and this number is only continuing to grow.

With so many people using email, it's a perfect way to reach and convert potential new customers.

In this upcoming quarter, consider executing an email outreach campaign. Decide on a value offer, whether it be a shareworthy piece of content or upcoming sale on a product/service, and send it out to members of your email lists who would benefit from it or be interested.

Not everyone is going to engage with your offer and that's okay don't get discouraged. Those that do will make it all worthwhile.

Remain helpful in your approach, showing that you have the recipient's best interest in mind, and you will increase your chances of closing new business.

3. Perform a Content Audit

Performing a content audit can be a great way to reassess and bring life to old or outdated pieces of content.

This could be as simple as updating some statistics to make them time-sensitive or as much as a complete visual overhaul.

Whatever the case may be, determine which pieces of content you want to focus and decide how you can get the most value out of them.

Perhaps you could group together several quality blog posts, taking highlights from each, to form a new eBook.

Or perhaps you see the opportunity to create a shareworthy infographic using the information from an old how-to-guide.

These are great options and come at no extra cost but your time as the content is there waiting for you to re-purpose it into something more valuable.

After your content audit, you can be proactive and combine your new, re-purposed content with and email outreach campaign to maximize your efforts.

4. Make Use of Social Media Advertising

Interest based ads are taking social media platforms by storm. These types of ads keep track of where the user's been and what types of product and service offers they've recently viewed.

By taking this into account, social media ads have the capability of being hyper relevant to the consumer causing them to be more likely to take action and make a purchase.

Along with interest based ads and the targeting options social media platforms like Facebook provide, advertising on social media gives you the opportunity to reach countless potential consumers with your advertisements.

The number of people using social media continues to grow. With roughly, 1.9 billion users on Facebook, 700 million users on Instagram and 328 million users on Twitter, the opportunity to put your brand in front of new buyers is endless.

5. Create a Webinar

Live video is a unique way to connect and engage with prospective customers. One way to do this is through hosting a live webinar.

You can create a webinar to provide valuable insight on an industry related topic, product/service offer, or as a live training session. In exchange people who attend the webinar will provide some contact information to sign up and reserve their spot.

By capturing the contact information of your attendees, you're able to build your email lists and begin the lead nurturing process.

Aside from providing a ton of value in of themselves, webinars can be combined with your other campaigns, whether it be email or advertising, to boost success as people are drawn towards the opportunity to connect with your brand and engage in real-time interaction.

6. Attend and Host Networking Events

Growing your network and increasing the number of connections you have, can rapidly prove just how invaluable it is.

You can begin growing your network by both attending other events and hosting your own. Look for upcoming conferences that are relevant to your industry or consider hosting one if nothing suits what you're looking for.

After establishing which ones you'll attend or setting everything up to host your own, review what you're looking to accomplish and make sure your team is on the same page.

The key to networking is in your preparation. Practice what you'll say and come up with different talking points you can fall back on to keep conversation alive and well.

Remember to keep business cards on you so if someone asks for your contact information you have it readily available.

Also, avoid being "salesy" by showing that you're genuinely interested in what the other person has to say and providing input when the time calls for it.

Lastly, be sure to follow up with any leads in the next few days after the event. Either by way of phone call or email, reach back out to the people you met to stay top of mind and get the ball rolling on developing a lasting connection.
